West Running Ladies

Our end of season celebration will be TUESDAY June 12th at 7pm at the track (inside in the wrestling room if raining). Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Families are also invited. Desserts will be provided by the coaching as a light snack during the celebration. The celebration should last until 8:30pm.

Good morning Titans!  Yesterday is just what the team needed as we head to the regional meet. Lots of PR's and seasons best times, jumps and throws!! Here's what is happening the rest of the week. ** Tuesday--practice 3:25 to 5:30 ** Wednesday-- Golden Baton meet at TC Central. Everyone will travel to Central. Some will compete and some will do a small workout and then be there to support those who are competing. Those who have a car may drive to the meet. We hav e a bus to take the rest to Central. If your athlete does not drive, they will need to be picked up at Central around 7pm. This is the last meet of the season for some of the team. I will collect singlets from those athletes who are done. ** Thursday-- practice 3:25 - 5:30. Regional pre meet practice. ** Friday -- MHSAA Regional meet at Midland High School. Happy Monday Titans!!  Here we are at the last day of April. May brings on championship season and it moves even quicker than you can believe! Here is the plan for the week: ** Monday-- practice 3:25 - 5:30. Sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers need to bring their spikes please! ** Tuesday-- pre meet practice for Cadillac. Everyone needs to bring their spikes to the track. ** Wednesday -- meet at Cadillac. EVERYONE who is eligible will travel to Cadillac. Athletes are dismissed at 1:15 and bus leaves at 1:30. Field events begin at 4:00 and running events at 4:15. We should be back to West by around 8:00pm. We will not make any stops for dinner. ** Thursday -- practice 3:25 - 5:30. Pre meet/recovery day. Happy Monday Titans! It is finally feeling like spring! Our track is emerging from that white stuff! We have a busy week ahead. Here is the plan-- ** Monday- practice at West, 3:25-5:30. We will give out the medals won at Puffer!! ** Tuesday- practice at West, 3:25- 5:30. Athletes please bring your spikes today! **Wednesday- MEET DAY! Gaylord is coming to town for our first home meet. As of this morning our track is not clear enough to have a meet BUT we can go to West Middle School as their track is clear. We have a bus scheduled to transport athletes down to West Middle. Athletes who have cars are allowed to drive themselves down but are NOT allowed to drive other athletes. The bus will take athletes down to WMS but they will need to be picked up since there is not bus scheduled to bring them back to the high school. Field events begin at 4:00, running events at 4:15. Happy Monday evening Titan families. Well this is now entering uncharted territory for me as a coach. I have never experienced a season that has been this snowy for this extended period of time. I took a look at the track today and it is buried. We will continue to work hard and do all the things to prepare our athletes to compete, just not on our track! I didn't post last night due to a couple things I was waiting for answers about for the rest of the week. I have th ose answers and here is the plan: **Tuesday-- if there is school, we will have regular practice 3:25 to 5:30. We do not have any gym space and we are not allowed in the wrestling room as they are not finished with testing yet.
